Danny and Mommy go to the Park

While Daddy, Unkie Ryan, and Unkie Peter were busy playing cards (see other post), Danny and I went on a "date" to the Franklin Park Conservatory. We took a short walk around the park before it got too hot, then headed inside to walk through the conservatory itself.

There were three main rooms, each representing the fauna of a different ecosystem. First was a Himalayan mountain zone, then a desert, and finally a rain forest. Each was beautifully landscaped with winding paths, many plants, and information about why each environment was unique and the adaptations of the plants to survive in that environment. After we walked through, we had a lunch at the cafe (which served some delicious desserts, by the way) and then headed back for the butterfly release.
