On Monday, we spent the day with my mom, dad, and brother out in Lancaster visiting the Hoffmeier relatives. Danny was a little overwhelmed by the chaos and energy of his 8 second cousins. But boy, did he love to watch them. While out at Aunt Sharon and Uncle Herb's dairy farm, Grandpa took him out to meet the calves. He was so fascinated. Looks like we've got a real animal lover on our hands.

Happy Birthday Paul!
May 21 was Paul's 25th birthday! Hard to believe my hubby's a quarter of a century old. I guess he's finally catching up with me. We've been eating out a lot, taking advantage of some free dinners at all our favorite restaurants. Danny got his daddy some playing cards with his picture on the back. Thanks to everyone for your cards, etc. to help us celebrate.
Danny in Memphis
Please keep us in your prayers as we finalize our moving plans. Especially pray for a job for Paul, and a good transition for Danny to having me away a few hours a week.

Danny the Rock Star
One of our favorite shirts of Danny's is the "Future Rock Star" onsie. We're certainly training him to love rock and roll- lots of classic rock (from Beatles to Kansas) and Pinoy rock (especially Wolfgang and Parokya ni Edgar). Danny still loves "rocking out" on my keyboard, and had a blast playing with Daddy's guitar. He's certainly got the girl magnet skill. Now we just need to teach him to actually play an instrument.

Happy Mama's Day!
I had a very special 1st Mother's Day. Danny bought me some beautiful flowers, and Paul brought home some lovely red roses. We're going out for dinner and a movie today to celebrate since Paul's off work.
Motherhood has certainly had its challenges, but when I cuddle with my little boy, or he looks up at me and says "Ba ba ba! A-ba!" I remember how blessed I am.

7 Months and Counting
Well, Danny has reached the 7 month mark. I'm not sure where the days went. Perhaps the lack of sleep is affecting my sense of time. Danny is now quite the mover and talker. His army scoot has turned into more of a bear crawl. You know the one... on your hands and feet with your butt up in the air. At least until he does a nose dive. Then he reverts to the army crawl to get to whatever he wanted to stick in his mouth. He also makes all sorts of adorable noises. I'm particularly fond of "mamamamama", but his repertoire also includes "muummum", "bababa", and "waaaay". Paul is very upset that Danny doesn't say "dada" and has made it his new mission to teach him.
Danny is a beautiful baby boy. What a privilege to be given Daniel to raise.
