Every day at the Conservatory, they release butterflies that hatched the night before. They have 30 different species from Florida, South America, Africa, and Asia.
During the release, the presenter points out the different species, where they come from, and any special facts about the species. My favorite was the glass winged butterfly, who's wings were transparent, much like a dragonfly.
Danny, however, was not so impressed. He was much more interested in trying to eat the ferns that were growing nearby.
On the way out, we visited the Lory birds. They come from New Guinea and are in the parrot family. Boy were they loud, but very friendly. There were six different birds, two each of three different types. They were beautiful animals.
